Crazy Vanquishing notions
Hi, I have been vanquishing for a while now, and im starting to notice its making me be a little bit less cautious now. I have completed Elona and Cantha and I am now working on Tyria. For Tryia I have been having all kinds of wierd notions about where to start for a vanquish. When doing Cantha (My first) I always started from the area closest to the map I wanted to vanquish. In Tyria I want to vanquish an area, lets say Lornars pass, I want to start it from Camp Rankor and go all the way through. For All of the Ascalon area, Im thinking of starting from yaksbend and ravage the countryside all across the ascalonian area with 6 men, never stoping. I was just wondering if I was the only one who had started to go a little cooky from all the vanquishing. , Thanks for reading my random ramblings

Well, lots of people have suggested "caravan vanquishing" before, which is where you start from a place that has a higher party count than where you want to vanquish and use that to make it easier

Yea. I for one. Is currently doing a caravan vanquish this weekend from Yaks bend, to Dragons Gullet (+- 7 area's, already did old ascalon). Go for it. Make sure you got buddies/team mates that's keen on staying in all the way through and let them know it will take several hours. G'luck

I started at Rankor and cleared Snake Dance, Dreadnoughts and Lornar's in one sitting. Never again, but I do think it's the best way of doing it. Took about 4 hours with breaks I think. Dreadnoughts was by far the hardest.

13 hours!
I have a week off work - yesterday at eleven am I left ToA with a party of 8 Hench/Hero with the intention of maybe vanquishing a couple of areas - Well - 13 hours later I was in the eastern frontier having Vanquished my way East including a detour into Flame Temple and Dragons Gullet! - - I overdid it - but it was an inertia type thing and I really did not ever seeing a time that I would seriously attempt this again! In the early hours of the morning I was sick of GW and looked a little like the guys from South Park in the "warcraft" episode.
However - was certainly useful having a party of 8 in those 4 man areas! Must go RSI!!!!

Well Vanquishing isnt a must, i think its basicly to experience something old that you liked with a new flavor.
I remember doing Lornars pass first and dreadnoughts after, did Snake Dance a few days later.
Anyway theres a lot to vanquish so i would start with the areas that you like the most...Gl
